Taxonomy is the practice of classifying things or concepts. A taxonomy is a searchable, hierarchical structure. It allows a logical grouping of assets.  

Technology Governance 

Technology governance controls how an organization utilizes technology in the research, development, and production of its goods and services. Although it may include IT governance activities, it often has broader scope. Technology governance is a key capability, requirement, and resource for most organizations because of the pervasiveness of technology across the organizational spectrum. 

Technology Governance Framework  

The Technology Governance Framework is a framework, which is intended to assist in identifying effective processes and organizational structures, so that the business responsibilities associated with Technology Governance can be elucidated, communicated, and managed effectively. 

Technology Strategy 

Technology strategy is the plan which consists of objectives, principles and tactics relating to use of technologies within a particular organization. Such strategies primarily focus on the technologies themselves and in some cases the people who directly manage those technologies.  (Source 1)


Process of replacing a sensitive data element with a non-sensitive equivalent, referred to as a token, which has no extrinsic or exploitable meaning or value, for data security purposes. (Source 3)

Total Rewards 

Total reward covers all aspects of work that are valued by people, including elements such as development opportunities and/or flexible working, in addition to the wider pay and benefits package. Total reward has implications for cultural change as it can focus in part on employee empowerment. (Source 18)


The way a person interacts with a company/brand. This includes, for example, contact through:

  •     All types of advertising and corporate communications
  •     Personal visits
Transformation Governance 

Establishment and oversight of policies, organizational and management practices to drive business change. (Source 1)

Transformation Roadmap  

An abstracted plan for business or technology change, typically operating across multiple disciplines over multiple years. Normally used in the phrases Business Transformation, Digital Transformation, Technology Roadmap, Architecture Roadmap, etc.
